Along the Stream Environmental Summer Camp

Come to our Parent open House on June 24, 2022, at 7:00pm to learn more about this camp where students will:

• Design and build a portable wastewater dam to demonstrate and observe simply cleaning processes employed in the wastewater industry.

• Discover how to evaluate local water for contamination.

• Research a topic related to clean water through computers, library, and possible personal interviews with local professionals.

CAMP SCHEDULE

Day 1 - Water Chemistry - Students will have the opportunity to perform analytical experiments involving techniques in Water Chemistry.

Day 2 - Physics – Students will design and build a portable Dam.

Day 3 – Field Biology - Students will test stream samples from area streams. and observe Aquatic Insects.

Day 4 – Investigation – Students will research local water population problems.

Day 5 – Field Sampling – Students will process, properly collected water samples, and learn to use the tools and methods of investigation to record and report their results
