More Information

Wildlife trafficking is a multi-billion-dollar industry that is the fourth most profitable trans- national crime behind drug, weapons and human trafficking. This presentation will delve further into what the LA Zoo and Aquariums like the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium are doing to help stop wildlife trafficking and its global effects.
Beth Schaefer is the Director of Animal Programs at the LA Zoo. Her career has allowed her to see many fascinating and far flung regions of the globe. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge and experiences with fellow Angelenos and explorers of this planet, whether that exploration is trekking through a desert, trekking around the zoo or imagining a future trek while attending a talk.

Future Discovery Lecture dates are: October 6 and December 1.
