Choose from a menu of laboratory-based activities that put biotechnology in the hands of students. These hands-on experiences are available for groups in grades 6 - 12. Use modern biotech tools to trace the inheritance of colon cancer risk. Picture your students extracting DNA from snack foods to test for the presence of genetic modifications. Let them try their hand at analyzing a patient genome or understanding the impact of enzymes in biotech. Watch your students put on a lab coat and get real-world experience with STEM practices.
