Adaptation AGORA

GOALS: Adaptation AGORA’s main ambition, going beyond current approaches, is to promote societal transformational processes in diverse social, economic, and political landscapes through transdisciplinary tools. Adaptation AGORA promotes democracy, climate justice, gender equality, equity, and fosters adaptive capacity and citizens’ empowerment to pro-actively support decision-making processes.

CO-DESIGN & CO-CREATION: Adaptation AGORA engages citizens, civil society organizations, academics, experts, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and other key actors in the co-design and co-creation of innovative, problem-oriented climate adaptation solutions scalable across Europe. Recognizing the diversity of social contexts, the project moves beyond “one-size-fits-all” approaches.

PILOT STUDIES: A network of pilot regions constitutes the co-production arena to collaboratively design, develop, and implement climate adaptation solutions. Adaptation AGORA also develops a roadmap for transformational change and the upscaling of citizen engagement, ensuring the transferability of effective policy instruments and a lasting impact.

Agora Community Hub: Join a thriving network of stakeholders, scientists, experts, media, and citizens to connect, communicate, and collaborate on adaptation solutions.
Digital Academies: Unlock the power of open-source climate data. Learn how to interpret and use this information to drive effective adaptation strategies and combat climate change disinformation.
AGORA Mobile App: Engage with climate change adaptation through a fun and informative way. This app is designed to educate and counter disinformation campaigns (fully functional from June 2025).
Digital Handbook: Explore the lessons learned and best practices from the Adaptation AGORA project through this interactive multimedia platform (to be released in December 2025).
