More Information

Our next event in the East Bay will be hosted at Two Pitchers Oakland (2344 Webster St, Oakland, CA 94612; just a few minutes’ walk from the 19th St BART station) on Tuesday, July 8th at 7:30 pm.

This month, we have two very exciting and wildly different talks lined up: Dr. Andy Mayo (SFSU) will tell us all about the atmospheres of massive, alien planets. Then stick around for a talk by Dr. Massimo Pascale (UC Berkeley), who will teach us about a little trick to explore the distant Universe thanks to Einstein.

Two Pitchers is all ages and pet friendly, and just a few minutes’ walk from the 19th St BART station. Free to attend – can’t wait to see you there!

Our FREE Astronomy on Tap events feature accessible, engaging science presentations on topics ranging from planets to black holes to the beginning of the Universe. There is always lots of time to ask questions and interact with the presenters and other scientists who inevitably stick around for the beer.

Be sure to follow us on Instagram and Facebook to get updates on future events!
