More Information

The Hubble Space Telescope (HST) originally launched in April of 1990. 36 years and more than 150,000 orbits around the Earth later, HST has cemented itself as one of the most important NASA missions. From studying our own solar system to some of the furthest galaxies, what astronomers have learned from HST has changed humanity’s understanding of the universe! For our last AoT event of the season, come join us at Four Peaks Brewery to celebrate 36 years of HST, where ASU research scientist Rolf Jansen will talk about the history and legacy of the mission. We will also hear from professor Sanch Borthakur on her work with Hubble and how astronomers are preparing for the next generation of space telescopes, including the Habitable Worlds Observatory. We hope to see you there!
