AoT Valley of the Sun: 30 Years of Worlds Beyond Ours!

Astronomy on Tap is back in the Valley of the Sun! Join us at Four Peaks Brewing Company in Tempe, AZ on Tuesday, September 9th to commemorate 30 years since the discovery of the first exoplanet orbiting a sun-like star. You’ll get to hear from two ASU faculty, Dr. Mike Line and Dr. Jenny Patience, as they detail the past, present and future of studying these worlds beyond our own. In between these talks, hear from Dr. Jamie Dietrich about the diversity of the over 5000 exoplanets we know of today! Plus, we will show you how to detect exoplanets with hands on activities.
