The Moonlight Hike is among the most popular interpretive hikes at Red Rock State Park. Hike leaders guide hikers on a rare opportunity to enjoy sunset and moonrise from a trail overlook. Along the way about some natural resources that you pass as you walk along the trail. The hike generally lasts between 2 to 2.5 hrs and covers a distance between 2 to 2.5 miles. A $15 registration fee per person is required for this after hours program. Participants must arrive at the park entrance at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start time to ensure participation. Please wear suitable clothing for temperature variations and closed toe shoes. All participants must bring a flashlight and water. Registration for each month’s hike will open the day after the previous month’s hike and continue until the day before the scheduled hike or until registrations are full. Reservations can be made by calling the park at (928) 282-6907.
