Karl Silverberg: Night Sky Review for July
In Person and Zoom
July is not for the “early-to-bed” folks.
It is for night owls and vampires!
Coming off the June 20th summer solstice, astro twilight for July 1st does not end until 10:30pm. If you can stay up, you will be greeted by many astronomical treasures.
For July 2024, Moon free viewing will be basically for the first 10 days of July, and last 5 days of July.
Early July is globular cluster season. There is plenty to see in binoculars and telescopes in Scorpius and Ophiuchus.
Stay up a little later, and you will be treated to the Milky Way in all its glory.
