Astronomy In The Park

Join us at Rustic Oaks Park, 5101 Orange Blossom Ct League City 77573 every first Saturday of the month for a totally free and fun evening of amateur astronomy from 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm (park closes at 10pm) RAIN OR SHINE.  We always meet there on the first Saturday of the month. In 2024 we will meet January 6, February 3 March 2, April 6 etc.
We allow free supervised access to various telescopes and strongly encourage binocular observations, please bring your own. If you have a telescope that is gathering dust somewhere, please bring it in and we will help you with it.
In the shelter (a saver when the weather is bad) we have laptops, displays of free astronomy software, clips and gorgeous pictures from Hubble and James Webb space telescopes.  We distribute, science magazines, old Texas periodicals, flyers describing the moon and its phases, what's up in the sky that month, the major constellations and asterisms, a list of relevant URLs for free software and nearby astronomy clubs. Come on in and pick one of each of these give away.  This is a service of League City parks.
