Astronomy on Tap Canary Islands (AstroTragos) – 7 May 2026

Welcome to the Star Wars edition of Astronomy on Tap – Canary Islands (AstroTragos)!

This month’s event will feature: – Diego Godoy Rivera (IAC): “El reloj magnético de las estrellas.” – Tania Le Pivert (IAC): “Where to Look for Water in the Solar System?”

Astronomy on Tap Canary Islands (locally known as “AstroTragos“) is a monthly outreach series organised by astronomers at the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias (IAC), and carried out within the framework of the EDUCADO and ExGal-Twin projects, that brings engaging, accessible astronomy talks, science trivia, and interactive Q&A sessions to the Canary Islands in a fun, informal atmosphere. The event is currently held the first Thursday of every month at El Búho in San Cristóbal de La Laguna on the island of Tenerife. Each edition aims to feature two short astronomy-related talks, one in Spanish followed by one in English, as well as interactive trivia. All events are free and open to the public! While tickets are not required for entry, we ask that you RSVP on Eventbrite so that we can have a better headcount for the event. Thank you!
