More Information

Join Lowell Observatory and Mother Road Brewing Co. on November 26th at 6:30pm for Astronomy on Tap! Listen to fascinating science talks, play trivia to win out-of-this-world prizes, and of course, enjoy Mother Road brews on tap.

This month’s speaker is Lowell and Texas State University researcher Jacob Hyden, who will talk about studying the motions on the surface of the Sun. The Sun’s surface is constantly in motion like all other stars. We will see how using high-resolution observations of the Sun’s surface can help estimate other stellar motions. This stellar motion can then be used to find Earth-sized exoplanets. We’ll see you there!
