Astronomy on Tap Great Basin: Black Holes & Alien Worlds

Join us at 7:30PM PDT, Saturday, September 12th for a very special Astronomy on Tap in Baker, NV as part of the Great Basin National Park Astronomy Festival! We’ll hear from Caltech postdoctoral fellow Demet Kirmizibayrak discussing: “Black Holes and Delayed Encores” and Caltech PhD student Tim Proudkii to talk about: “How Jupiter’s Moons Became Alien Worlds.” In addition, we will have telescopes on-hand for guided stargazing, professional astronomers to answer your science questions, and astronomically-themed pub trivia with prizes!

These events are being hosted by the crew from Astronomy on Tap Los Angeles, as part of the Great Basin Astronomy Festival, a weekend of astronomy and space science out in one of the darkest skies in the United States.
