Astronomy on Tap Hawai’i: Shadow the Scientist

Join us for our 1 year anniversary Astronomy on Tap event on April 3rd, 2025 at Hilo Town Tavern (7-9 pm). 🤩 During this special event, Jameeka Marshall and Brian Lemaux from Shadow the Scientist will take us live (!) observing at Maunakea telescopes. Come and take a look inside the control room of our world class telescopes with a drink in hand and ask the observers anything! There will also be games, prizes, and free goodie bags.

Shadow the Scientists (StS) offers virtual learning experiences with university and industry professionals to inspire student interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM) careers. Our public sessions aim to promote community awareness and appreciation of STEAM research’s role in addressing real-world challenges.
