Astronomy on Tap Los Angeles: Chandra X-ray Telescope and X-ray Sky

Join us at 7:30PM PDT, Monday, December 16th for a very special Astronomy on Tap dedicated to the NASA Chandra X-ray Telescope, hosted at the outdoor Dog Haus Biergarten in Old Town Pasadena. We’ll hear from Cal State University Los Angeles Professor Margaret Lazzarini: “An X-ray View of Massive Stars, Black Holes, and Neutron Stars,” and Caltech Postdoctoral Fellow Peter Boorman: “How to Take an X-ray Image of the Night Sky.” In addition, we will have a telescope on-hand for guided stargazing, professional astronomers to answer your science questions, astronomically-themed pub trivia with prizes, lots of NASA Chandra telescope swag, and live music with local rockstar Jason Achilles!
