More Information

Join us at 7:30PM PST, Thursday, November 20th for Astronomy on Tap hosted at the outdoor Dog Haus Biergarten in Old Town Pasadena. This week, we are collaborating with plasma physicists from around the country for a special series of Astronomy on Tap events! We’ll hear from Bryn Mawr College Professor of Physics David Schaffner giving a talk entitled “Understanding the Sun in our Lab,” and Research Scientist at General Atomics Mario Manuel speaking about: “Ignition and Inertial Fusion Energy.” In addition, we will have a telescope on-hand for guided stargazing, professional astronomers to answer your science questions, astronomically-themed pub trivia with prizes, and NASA educational swag!

The event is free and open to all ages. No reservations are necessary, just show up and stay only as long as you want. To view our past events, see our location page. For more information about our future events and affiliated Stargazing Lecture Series at Caltech, see our website.
