Searching For Young Exoplanets to Understand Planet Formation**

Speaker: Kendall Sullivan (UCSC)

Bio: Kendall Sullivan is a postdoctoral researcher in Astronomy and Astrophysics at the University of California Santa Cruz. They are primarily interested in studying planet formation and evolution using binary stars. Outside of work they can be found hanging out with their two cats or in the woods around Santa Cruz.

Exploring the mysteries of the insides of stars**

Speaker: Loren Matilsky (UCSC)

Bio: Loren Matilsky is a professional amateur theoretical astrophysicist. He really enjoys thinking about stuff and getting very large computers to answer questions about “stellar interiors” (the chaotic wild motion of the gas inside stars). He also enjoys long hikes, rock climbing, bluegrass music, and hanging out on the beach.
