Big Tree Paddle

Join a ranger for a paddle to the famous Big Tree of Merchants Millpond State Park. This old growth Cypress Tree, growing deep in Lassiter Swamp, is estimated to be up to 1400 years old. Be prepared for an all-day paddle. Bring water, lunch, and appropriate clothing to stay comfortable in unpredictable spring weather.

Reservations are required and space is limited to 10 boats. Participants are welcome to bring their own vessels. Rentals are available at $25 for those who do not have a vessel.
