More Information

The volunteer monitoring project was designed to provide “citizen scientists” with a repository for field observed data tracking occurrences of cattails found within the United States in order to find zones of hybridization and any native populations that may still exist. Researchers will use this layman’s dataset in combination with their own data to advance their understanding of the changes occurring in the cattail population driven by hybridization.
