More Information

Learn how to turn kitchen scraps into garden gold with the help of worms in this hands-on vermicomposting workshop. Vermicompost is one of the most potent organic soil amendments you can make yourself, and it is a great way to reduce household waste while efficiently feeding your garden or landscape. This class, taught by a local market garden farmer and certified master gardener, will cover everything you need to know to start and manage a healthy worm bin at home, including bin setup, care, and troubleshooting in our desert climate. You’ll see a working bin up close; help build one in class and leave with the knowledge and confidence to immediately start making and using vermicompost at home! This program requires registration. This program is supported by the City of Chandler’s Water Conservation Department. Registration is required.
