Children’s Museum of Phoenix: KIDchen Science – Cranberry Cha-Cha

Get ready to shake up some science in the KIDchen! In this bubbly buoyancy experiment, we’ll use dried cranberries and a fizzy liquid to make the berries “dance” like they’re doing the cha-cha. Kids will explore how gas bubbles attach to the cranberries, causing them to rise and fall—just like a living lava lamp! It’s a playful way to discover density, buoyancy, and the magic of motion, all while giggling at those groovy, wiggly berries. Recommended for ages 2 and older.
