Dig into Paleontology Day

**Join us on November 30 for Dig Into Paleontology Day on the Science Stage, presented by Ford Philanthropy!**Prepare for a day packed with dinosaur-themed fun, hands-on fossil activities, and exciting educational programs for all ages. Admission to this special event is included with your general museum ticket, giving you access to all the day’s activities.

Special Guest: Paleo Joe

We’re thrilled to welcome semi-local paleontology expert “Paleo Joe” for an unforgettable experience! He’ll perform two engaging kids’ shows at noon and 3 p.m., combining interactive presentations, storytelling, and fossil-digging fun. Throughout the day, kids can join guided fossil digs with Paleo Joe and our Mi-Sci educators, bringing the ancient world to life for aspiring paleontologists.

Hands-On Exploration and Activities

Bring your curiosity to the Play Lab and try your hand at building dinosaur block structures. Over at the Gamer’s Village, test your skills in a building challenge designed to inspire young engineers! Kids and families can also enjoy fossil tracing activities and explore owl pellet bones in our Portal to STEM area, uncovering even more about prehistoric life and the ecosystems of ancient creatures.

Get up close to history with our Tyrannosaurs – Meet the Family exhibit, where you’ll explore the family tree of the mighty T-rex and learn about the fascinating connections between birds and dinosaurs.
