Embry – Riddle Aeronautical University: Astronomy Camp

Embark on a celestial adventure with our Astronomy Camp-an extraordinary journey that transcends the boundaries of traditional education! Brace yourself for an immersive experience that unveils the secrets of the universe through captivating lectures, hands-on activities, planetarium shows, and eye-opening field trips. Participants will engage in activities such as constructing pulsars using LEDs and learn how the merging of black holes can create gravitational waves detectable by state-of-the-art experiments. Guided by Embry-Riddle faculty, participants will have the unique opportunity to peer through optical telescopes and admire the marvel of the night sky as well as the summer sun. This adventure may extend beyond the ERAU campus with off campus field trips. Get ready to explore the cosmos, make lifelong friends, and experience the universe like never before!
