Embry – Riddle Aeronautical University: Drone Summer Camp

Prepare to dive into the exciting realm of drone technology and discover how these aerial wonders are shaping our world today! In this immersive program, participants won’t just hear about drones; they’ll be at the forefront of operations, both virtually and in the sky. Participants will be introduced to drone operations through classroom instruction, flight simulators, and actual flight operations. Classes will include an introduction to small Unmanned Aerial Systems, common uses, Unmanned Aircraft Systems Lab (UAS), UAS Sims, and 3-D mapping and rendering software. Participants will gain an understanding of UAS fixed-wing and multi-rotor aircraft through hands-on experience building, testing, and flying an autopilot-controlled quadcopter. By the end of this program, you’ll not only understand the ins and outs of UAS fixed wing and multi-rotor aircraft but also have the confidence to navigate the skies with your very own drone creation.
