More Information

Learn about what horses are thinking and why they act (and react) the way they do. In this interactive demonstration, meet some horses up close, talk to a horse trainer, and watch a riding demonstration. There will be a hand-out with facts about horses for participants. Wear shoes suitable for mud or dirt. No running or loud noises (can scare the horses). No dogs. Always follow instructions of ranch staff. Reservations are required.       Part of Flagstaff Festival of Science, a free annual 10-day event wholly designed to promote awareness and enthusiasm for science in and about northern Arizona and beyond, and is fondly known as the Best 10 Days of the Year. Established in 1990, it is the longest, continuously running, entirely free science festival in the world.
