Hagen Ranch Road Branch Homeschool Hub -

A Palm Beach County Library program for homeschooled children ages 5 and up is scheduled for March 13 at 2PM.  The program will focus on astronomy and celebrate Women's History Month by highlighting women in space. The program is run in collaboration with the Astronomical Society of the Palm Beaches.

The program introduces children to the activities of local astronomy clubs, the role of the NASA affiliated Night Sky Network and the myriad of Citizen Science projects open to all. There will be a 15 minute slide show featuring current female astronauts and astronomers and the origin of their interest in space.

Each child will assemble their own telescope from a kit provided by the County.
