More Information

Heritage Monitoring Scouts (HMS Florida) is a public engagement program focused on tracking changes to archaeological sites at risk, particularly those impacted by climate change in the form of erosion and sea level rise.

Citizens sign up as Heritage Monitoring Scouts, and can begin monitoring Historic Cemeteries and Historic Structures right away!
To monitor Archaeological Sites, Scouts must first choose a region of interest, and then wait until an administrator assigns a site to them.

Once an Archaeological Site has been assigned to a Scout, that Scout can view the site’s location, and log a Scout Visit!
