More Information

Come join retired wildlife biologist Noël Fletcher to explore the history of Forest Management and some of the first tools used to measure trees. We will journey through history from Europe to the Eastern US and land in Chino Valley, AZ where forestry is being taken to the stratosphere with new tools! Discover old and new ways to look at the trees around you and see the forest from a new perspective. About Noël Fletcher: I am a wife, mother, grandmother, and retired wildlife biologist. I was born and raised on a horse farm in Pennsylvania. I got my Wildlife degree from the University of Idaho. I worked for the Forest Service for 39 years in Idaho, California, and Arizona. My main responsibilities were balancing what people wanted with what wildlife needed. The diverse demands of uses for public lands with equally diverse wildlife species and habitats presented many opportunities for negotiating and finding creative solutions.
