HSBC Citizen Science Program

In partnership with HSBC & Earthwatch, the Blue Carbon Lab seeks to transform HSBC community members (i.e employees, partners, stakeholders) into citizen scientists who advocate the value of wetlands, while collecting critical data for wetland science.

HSBC Citizen Scientists will travel to local wetlands and participate in different data collections activities. Data will be used by national and international researchers to better understand blue carbon dynamics and wetland systems. The program includes > 15 visits to field sites in Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland for the next two years.
