Janet Wood, "The Life Cycles of Stars"

 Janet Wood, NASA/JPL Solar System Ambassador

Janet is an ambassador for a nationwide network of more than 1100 volunteers coordinated by the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California. For  more than 25 years , the NASA Solar System Ambassadors program has been a public engagement effort that works with volunteers across the nation to communicate the science and excitement of NASA’s space exploration missions and discoveries with the people in their communities.

Janet became a volunteer for the Solar System Ambassador Program in 2002 and has been giving programs on astronomy and space science to a wide variety of audiences since that time.  She  holds a Master of Science Degree in Geoscience Education with an emphasis in  planetary science.
