Would you like to meet some scorpions and other “creepy-crawly” critters? Join Ranger Kevin for an evening of summer insect improv! We’re setting up our version of the silver screen in the amphitheater tonight. Once it’s dark, we’ll turn on the spotlight and enjoy the show that unfolds, as all manner of arthropods are drawn to the light. We’ll even have a few scorpions on hand to look at. This is a great opportunity to ask your bug-related questions, learn about unique and interesting animals like palo verde beetles, whipscorpions, tarantulas and giant desert centipedes, and get a good, close-up look at any insect guest stars that decide to drop in. Family friendly program. Restrooms are available nearby, but please bring plenty of water. NO pets, please. MEETING LOCATION: Amphitheater, a short walk behind the Nature Center.
