Have you ever wanted to learn more about butterflies? Well, here is your chance! Parks for Pollinators BioBlitz Join us this year as we team up with the National Recreation and Park Association- Parks for Pollinators BIOBLITZ! Have you ever wanted to learn more about butterflies? Well, here is your chance! The Maricopa County Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a butterfly workshop to help you identify and understand butterflies. And several butterfly monitoring events to help determine population trends, species richness, and diversity within the county. Participate in a national pollinator bioblitz! Upcoming Butterfly Monitoring Events (Registration Required) Saturday, September 20, 2025, 9:30 AM-12:30 PM Usery Mountain Regional Park, meet at the Nature Center Please bring water, a snack, hat, sunscreen, and closed-toed shoes. Optional equipment: camera, binoculars, and a butterfly ID Book. We will be hiking in the desert environment.
