Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Cactus Hike

Join Ranger Derik on an exciting morning hike through the park as you learn about the many cacti that call the Sonoran Desert home. The hike will cover 2.6 miles on the Blevins trail. This hike is rated as easy, plan to walk on rocky and sandy trail. It is encouraged that you water supportive shoes and if inclines or declines are an issue for you take along some trekking poles. Please make sure to bring sunscreen and plenty of water with you. Bathrooms and water fountains will be available on your way to the trailhead however no amenities are present at the trailhead itself. MEETING LOCATION: Blevins Trailhead Limit 20 participants. To register, please call the Nature Center at 602-506-2930 ext. 4 with your name, phone number, and number of people attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list.
