More Information

Join Ranger Kevin for an evening of fun and adventure as we set off in search of our spookiest desert critters. October is spooky season, so get yourself into the Halloween spirit with this exciting, roughly 2-mile night hike along the Cottonwood trail. If you can find it in a witch’s cauldron, we’ll be looking for it: scorpions, spiders, snakes, bats, centipedes, toads, insects and more! The trail is rated easy with little loose rock, uneven surfaces, or elevation change. Please bring water and wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes. Bring flashlights; black UV lights are optional. MEETING LOCATION: Cottonwood Day Use Area near the restrooms. Limit 15 participants. To register, please email Ranger Kevin at Kevin.Thorson@maricopa.gov with your name, phone number and number of people attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please email back ASAP so those on the waiting list may be contacted. Registration for this program will close on 10/24.       Free with Park Fee
