Learn about the wildflowers and plants of the Sonoran Desert on this hike with Ranger Eric. Join Ranger Eric on this guided hike to learn about the spring wildflowers and other plants of the Sonoran Desert. After the wet fall and early winter, we should have an abundance of wildflowers this spring. We will hike maybe up to 2 miles or so up Bajada and Goat Camp Trails and will plan to turn around after about 2 hours to allow time for hiking back by noon. The lower part of the trails are easy to moderate, but the grade turns to very difficult as we start to ascend higher up on Goat Camp Trail. Hiking will involve a mix of rocky, sandy, and uneven surfaces. Please bring your own water (at least 3L recommended) and snacks, wear sturdy footwear and sun protection. Restrooms are available at the Area 2 parking lot and trailhead. MEETING LOCATION: Area 2 / Bajada Trailhead Park map: https://www.maricopacountyparks.net/assets/1/6/white-tank-8x11-2024.pdf Exact meeting spot (Google Maps): https://maps.app.goo.gl/FaoYuUZ4XCubC7B28 Limit 20 participants.
