Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Full Moon Hike

This hike with Ranger Jacque is sure to please the senses as you embark on a nighttime stroll with the majestic moon, mysterious sounds, and creatures of the night. Discover the magic and majesty of the full moon rising over the desert landscape, following the famous Arizona sunset draping over the mountains. This is a 2.1-mile hike along sections of the easy and moderate rated Moonlight, Stargazer, and San Tan trails. Please wear sturdy shoes, bring water, and cash per vehicle for the self-pay station. Small hand-held flashlights and blacklights are OK; please refrain from using headlamps. No pets please. Outdoor summer programs may be canceled on short notice due to severe weather, including extreme heat events. Note that there are two of these programs being offered—one on June 10th (Tuesday) and one on June 11th (Wednesday). Please specify which one you’re calling to register for.
