This hike with Ranger Jacque is sure to please the senses as you embark on a nighttime stroll with the majestic moon, mysterious sounds, and creatures of the night. Discover the magic and majesty of the full moon rising over the desert landscape, following the famous Arizona sunset draping over the mountains. This is a 2.1-mile hike along sections of the easy and moderate rated Moonlight, Stargazer, and San Tan trails. Please wear sturdy shoes, bring water, and cash per vehicle for the self-pay station. Small hand-held flashlights and blacklights are OK; please refrain from using headlamps. No pets please. Outdoor summer programs may be canceled on short notice due to severe weather, including extreme heat events. The Maricopa County Parks website (www.maricopa.gov/parks) is the most accurate resource for verifying the program’s current status. To register, please call the San Tan Nature Center at (602) 506-2930 ext. 7 with your name, phone number and number of people attending. Note that there are two of these programs being offered—one on June 10th (Tuesday) and one on June 11th (Wednesday). Please specify which one you’re calling to register for. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on 6/8/25.
