Ranger Olivia will lead you on an evening walk to enjoy a peaceful evening in the desert as the full moon rises. We will also keep an eye and ear out for any creatures that may be stirring, such as owls, coyotes, rodents and more. This is a loop that is approximately 2 miles total distance. We will head out on Spur Cross Trail and loop onto Metate Trail to enjoy the moon glow. The terrain is mostly level but there are some uneven portions with small to medium rocks underfoot. Keep in mind that it may become colder as it becomes darker and bring an extra layer. Wear closed-toe shoes and plenty of water (flashlight/blacklight optional). No pets, please. Restrooms are available at the Trailhead. There is NO potable water in the park. Please bring $3 exact cash per person for the self-pay station or your annual pass to display on your vehicle. MEETING LOCATION: Picnic Tables Limit 20 participants. To register, please call the Cave Creek Nature Center at (602) 506-2930 ext. 8 with your name, phone number and number of people attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on 12/03/2025.
