More Information

Enjoy an early morning walk to watch for birds, lizards, snakes, and small animals with Ranger Olivia. Let’s see what sorts of wildlife we can spot. Birds should be active at this time and there’s not a bad chance for lizards and small animals too. Binoculars will make things easier, but a magnifying glass will help you find bugs and spiders which can be just as interesting! This hike will be an out and back hike that is about 2 miles on mostly flat terrain with some uneven/rocky areas. Please wear close-toed shoes and bring plenty of water! There is a restroom at the trailhead. MEETING LOCATION: Quail Trailhead Limit 15 participants. To register, please call the Visitor Center at 602-506-2930 ext. 6 with your name, phone number, and number of people attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Visitor Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on 9/17/24 Please note: Summer programs may be canceled on short notice due to severe weather, including extreme heat events. The Maricopa County Parks website is the best resource for verifying the program’s current status, so please check the program listing prior to departing for your scheduled program.     Free with Park Fee
