Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Night Hike

After your 4th of July feasting, join Ranger Jacque on this night hike to see if we can catch some fireworks from Vista Trail! On this approachable holiday hike, we’ll first warm up with a 0.8 mile barrier- free loop on the Merkle Trail, before going up 162 feet on a hilltop overlook. There, we’ll take a leisurely break (feel free to bring a snack or drink) and admire the views. When ready, we’ll head back down on the 0.5 mile Vista Trail, for a total of 2 miles. Please wear sturdy shoes, bring water, and $7 cash per vehicle for the self-pay station. Bring small handheld flashlights; please refrain from using headlamps.
