Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Riparian Hike

Join Ranger Derik walking through forest under green tress and by flowing water in a desert oasis. The hike is 2.3 miles in length on mostly shaded flat trail except for the Lykes Lookout section which sharply gains 100ft to a hill that overlooks the riparian habitat. Please make sure to bring sunscreen and plenty of water with you. If you have balance difficulties hiking poles are highly encouraged. Bathrooms and a water fountain can be found in the parking lot. PLEASE NOTE: Outdoor summer programs may be canceled on short notice due to severe weather, including extreme heat events.
