Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Scorpion Hike

Join Ranger Derik on a night hike through the park in search of scorpions and other native Sonoran Desert creatures that roam the park after dark. C The hike will take you through upland desert and riparian habitat in search of scorpions and under towering saguaro cacti. The hike will cover 2.5 miles and gain roughly 150ft of elevation gain on loose and rocky trail. Please bring a flashlight and water with you for this hike. There is no water in the park but there are bathrooms near the trailhead. Please bring 3 dollars per person to put into the iron ranger.
