More Information

This approachable walk is on a one-mile loop on barrier-free gravel terrain with little elevation gain. We go at a comfortable, strolling pace, pausing at a few stops along the way to discover what makes the Sonoran Desert so unique, making this perfect for beginners, photographers, families, and nature-lovers. Absorb the beauty of the desert during this one-hour program. Make sure you bring water, close toed shoes, sunscreen, and a hat. While not necessary for the program, you may bring a flashlight, especially if you plan to stay after dark. Well behaved dogs on leash are welcome. We will meet at the Merkle trailhead Area 6. Bring $7 cash per vehicle entry fee. Gates close at 9pm. MEETING LOCATION: Area 6 (Merkle trailhead with picnic area/restrooms) No registration required.   Free with Park Fee
