More Information

Join Ranger Shaun for a morning jaunt up the mountain! Come for an early walk in the relative cool of the morning up to the top of waterfall trail and back. We’ll take a moment to examine the petroglyphs along the way, discuss some of the local vegetation, and watch for wildlife become active as the day warms. If we’ve been lucky enough to get rain, maybe we’ll get to see the stream flow! This is an easy, approximately 2-mile hike, of which, roughly half is concrete sidewalk, and the rest is dirt. There are some rocks along the way, but nothing overly treacherous. Closed toed shoes and drinking water are required. Hats and sun protection are recommended. Walking sticks/hiking poles are not needed but are welcome if they make you more comfortable. No pets please. Restroom and water fountains are available at the trailhead. MEETING LOCATION: Waterfall Trailhead Precise Meeting Location: https://maps.app.goo.gl/ehtqK256u94B7m1DA Limit 10 participants. To register, please call the Nature Center at (602) 506-2930 ext. 5 with your name, phone number and number of people attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list.
