More Information
Join Ranger Jacque on the Talon Trail for a scenic walk to discover blooming desert wildflowers. Experience the beauty of spring in the desert on this wildflower walk in the hours before sunset. This hike will follow the Talon Trail to Pass Mountain Trail going north, and at the hour mark we’ll turn back. Along the way, we’ll search for seasonal wildflowers and learn to identify them using color flower guides provided. It is also recommended to download the free iNaturalist app before coming to the park, and the ranger will help you identify desert life using the app and AI tech. Expect to hike about 2.5 miles with approximately 200 feet of elevation gain. Please wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes, bring water, sunscreen, and remember to stay on the trail and take only pictures of the wildflowers. Restrooms and water fountains are available at our meeting location. No pets, please.
