Maricopa County Parks and Recreation: Wildflowers and Butterflies Hike

Join Ranger Kevin for a midday hike in our beautiful springtime desert. Join Ranger Kevin for a 2.6-mile hike on the Dragonfly trail. Trail is rated easy-moderate, with some loose rock, uneven terrain and elevation change. We will be on the lookout for all kinds of wildlife along the way, especially butterflies, as well as wildflowers. Some animals we may see include mule deer, javelina, squirrels, rabbits, birds and perhaps a reptile or two. Please wear sturdy closed-toe shoes and bring plenty of water. Hats and sunscreen are also highly recommended. Restrooms are available near the trailhead. No pets, please. Cash only is accepted, and exact change is appreciated. If entry station is closed, please place your money in the payment box at the gate. Limit 20 participants.
