McDowell Sonoran Conservancy: Lecture – Discover the McDowell Sonoran Preserve

A local expert from the McDowell Sonoran Conservancy will help you discover all the ways to explore and protect the “best” preserve in the Valley. Brian Whitehead is the Senior Program Manager at the McDowell Sonoran Conservancy. He has degrees in Environmental Science and Biology. He came to the Conservancy with nearly 10 years of experience as an interpretive park ranger with the National Park Service. During his time as a park ranger, Brian helped visitors learn about and explore the parks. Since joining the Conservancy at the start of 2022, Brian has supported the activities of our steward volunteers as they promote natural open space. When not working to support volunteers, you can find Brian volunteering on the many long-term monitoring projects organized by the Conservancy.
