Mingo Star Party

Come join the Amateur Astronomers Association of Pittsburgh for solar viewing through the observatory’s 10" refractor telescope, followed by a night of looking at the stars through the 10" or the observatory’s 24" Ritchey-Chrétien telescope.  Visitors of all ages are welcome to tour the observatory, watch a planetarium show, or listen to presentations on a variety of astronomy related topics.  There are also activities for children and many of our members set up their own personal scopes for additional viewing opportunities.
