More Information

Due to increasing cases of diseases transmitted by ticks in North Carolina, we are requesting that people submit ticks that they come into contact with naturally. We are only interested in ticks found in North Carolina. All materials will be provided to interested participants either via kiosks set up in your county or through the mail if a kiosk is not near you. Kits contain tubes for submitting ticks, a brief survey, and mailing materials. We can provide identification information of ticks submitted to participants, but we cannot provide any information on pathogens that may have been within ticks or provide medical advice related to ticks.
