Summer Tanager, Vermilion Flycatcher, and Yellow-breasted Chat are among the birds we will search for in the cottonwoods and willows of this special place. Cienega Creek Preserve is a great place to enjoy the spectacle of migration. Sections of the trail are steep and rocky. Please carry water and wear sturdy hiking shoes. DIRECTIONS: Cienega Creek Natural Preserve at Gabe Zimmerman Davidson Canyon Trailhead, 16000 E. Marsh Station Road 85641 From I-10 take exit 281- Sonoita/Patagonia to Marsh Station Road. Travel northeast on Marsh Station Road approximately 3 miles and watch for the Gabe Zimmerman Davidson Canyon Trailhead sign on the right. If you get to the large colorful Cienega Creek sign on the left side of the road, you have gone too far. Turn around and go back down the road to the trailhead parking area. There are restrooms but there is no water available at this trailhead. Group meets at the ramada in the parking lot. Sections of the trail are steep and rocky. Please carry water and wear sturdy hiking shoes.
