More Information

Robo-Bowl Jr. and Tech-Fest is a one-day, hands-on STEM experience designed for elementary students and families. The event will take place on Saturday, May 16, 2026 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at McBride High School, in partnership with Long Beach Unified’s School District’s annual middle school Robo Bowl competition.

The day will begin with Robo-Bowl Jr., an EV3 mini robotics competition, modeled after Robo Bowl, giving younger students a chance to build, test, and showcase their own robotic and engineering skills to complete competition tasks.

Throughout the event, attendees will also enjoy Tech-Fest, an interactive, exhibitor-led workshops and demonstrations focused on STEM and creative explorations. Students will rotate through hands-on learning stations led by local organizations. Exhibitors include Columbia Memorial Space Center, CSULB Shark Lab, Momentum Robotics, Camp Integem, and so much more!

Participants will also have the chance to observe portions of the middle school Robo Bowl, providing early exposure to what lies ahead in their STEM journey.
Robo-Bowl Jr. is designed to be highly interactive, encouraging exploration, creativity, and collaboration, while introducing younger learners to the possibilities of STEM in a fun, welcoming, and accessible environment. Families are welcomed to attend and participate throughout the day.
